FinancialEdge backs direct deposit of Social Security payments with Go Direct
FinancialEdge Community Credit Union is pleased to announce our partnership with Go Direct, a national campaign sponsored by the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the Federal Reserve Banks, to encourage people who get Social Security and other federal benefit payments by check to switch to direct deposit.
Direct deposit is simply the best way to receive Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payments. Direct deposit eliminates the risk of lost or stolen checks, reduces fraud, helps protect against identity theft and gives people more control over their money. Money Orders are available by stopping into the lobby of either FinancialEdge Community Credit Union branch location. Money Orders are cash equivalent and can be used when a personal check is not sufficient. Such instances may be real estate closings, automobile purchases, apartment deposits, mail order, etc.
The maximum amount is $1,000 per order and a small fee may apply. (Refer to our Fee Schedule for a current list of fees.)
